Bees produce Honey, once captured and put into a beehive that you can build on your farm. You learn how to capture Wild Beehives during the quest Honey, I'm Home! from the Beekeeper. The Beekeeper is located in the park not far from Pitchfork Jeb's Farmer Supply. You get the Bee Smoker from the beekeeper. Bee hives are often found near their nest, which reside on the smaller Oak Trees scattered around the map. Once you find a Wild Beehive, you can try to capture it using the Bee Smoker to play the minigame that allows the capture of the hive.
So you want to capture a Bee Hive? REALLY?! They BUZZ AND STING!! Ok then, Here's how to do it!
BEFORE ANY OF THIS IS DONE, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A BEEHIVE BUILT ON YOUR FARM. YOU WILL NEED A PLACE TO PUT YOUR WILD BEEHIVE
PREPARE: Have some food to eat just in case the stings get to be too much. I hear Milk and Electric Rawberry bars are good to eat. It is a good idea to put them on your hotbar as well. Pressing a button is faster then clicking.
Go out in the world and find a Wild Beehive Once you locate one, equip your Bee Smoker and prepare for BATTLE!!!!!
Now get close to the hive. you will see a honeycomb with a purple center. The purple represents the health of the queen. The golden rectangles on the outside of the queens health represents the bees in the hive. As you smoke the hive the queens health, and the number of bees in the hive drops. If you don't smoke the hive correctly, or it takes a few tries the hive could die and you will have to find another one to capture. The honey comb will pulse dark to bright yellow. The idea here is to click the wild beehive with the bee smoker when the honey comb is big and bright. The More you smoke the hive, the more the health of the queen and hive will drop. So try and time it perfectly!!

Hive has died.
If all goes well, you will get a message telling you that the bees are calm, and to capture the hive. To capture the hive simply press the action button. The hive will fall from the tree so that you can pick it up. You may put a hive in your truck to carry it to your farm.

Take your new beehive home. To Place the Wild Beehive in the new Beehive, simply pick it up and drop it on the Bee hive
Home Sweet Home!!
Your new Beehive will take some time to recuperate. It is a good idea to let them keep their honey for a little while, so that the hive can get stronger (more bees, more honey). If you click on the hive it will give information about the hive. 100 bees is the maximum amount of bees in the hive. With 100 bees the hive will be full of honey at 50.
Oh!, and to harvest the honey from the hive, you play the mini game again. The Beekeeper might have a tool to make this easier....
