Carrots are one of the first crops to have been added to the game, which can be bought from Pitchfork Jeb's Farmer Supply in the form of seeds for $0.90 each. It yields 8 carrots per seed. You could buy them, or maybe get lucky enough to snatch some from The Giving Tree.
