The dog order, dog bed, dog bowl, and dog food is found in a player's mailbox.

To place the dog bed, go into a house that has been built and drag the dog bed out of the inventory. Alternatively, click on furniture editor mode then drag the dog bed out. Then, drag the dog order to the dog bed.
You can click on the dog to bring up a small menu, click "start following" for it to follow you. You can also buy a leash from Pitchfork Jeb's Farmer Supply.
Don't forget to buy Dog Food for your Dog, They get hungry too. To use the Dog Food simply drag it out of your inventory to the Dog Bowl. Pitchfork Jeb's Farmer Supply also has a nice selection of Dog Food, Dog Bed, and Dog Bowls in case the freebies aren't the right color.
