Dog

The dog order, dog bed, dog bowl, and dog food is found in a player's mailbox.

To place the dog bed, go into a house that has been built and drag the dog bed out of the inventory. Alternatively, click on furniture editor mode then drag the dog bed out. Then, equip the dog order and order it. Click on the dog and click "start following" for it to follow you. A leash is also obtainable from Pitchfork Jeb.
